Payment and common questions
How does payment work?
Payment is split in two: 50% upfront to get started, and the other 50% when your website launches. You won't pay the second half until you've reviewed the site and it's live.
When does the Care Plan start billing?
The Care Plan is $49 a month and is optional. It covers hosting, up to 1 hour of updates each month, and ongoing support once your site is live.
How much does a website cost for a small business in Houma or Thibodaux?
A one-page Starter Site is $99, and a Business Site with up to 5 pages is $249. If you'd like me to host your site and handle updates, the Care Plan is $49 a month. There are no hidden fees, and add-ons like a logo are quoted up front.
Why do I need a website if I already have a Facebook page?
Most people search Google when they need a service, and a Facebook page rarely shows up there. A website is something you own, so you aren't at the mercy of a platform's rules or a locked account. It also makes your business look established the moment someone finds you.
How long does it take to build a website?
It depends on the size of the site and how quickly we can gather your photos and details. A one-page site usually moves quickly, and a multi-page site takes a bit longer. I'll give you a clear timeline during your free consultation.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every site I build is set up so Google can find it, with your business name, services, and area in the right places. The Business Site adds local SEO setup to help you show up in local searches. Nobody can honestly promise a #1 spot, but you'll be far more visible than with a social media page alone.
Do I have to know anything about technology?
Not at all. I handle the design, setup, and launch. You just tell me about your business and look over the site before it goes live.
What happens after my website launches?
Your site goes live on your own web address, ready for customers. If you're on the Care Plan, I keep it hosted and make updates for you each month. Either way, I'm a call or text away if you have a question.
Can I update my website myself?
Most clients would rather not, so the Care Plan includes up to an hour of updates every month. Just call or text me what you want changed and I'll take care of it. If you'd like to make some changes yourself, we can talk about that during your consultation.
Do you only work with businesses in Houma and Thibodaux?
Houma and Thibodaux are home base, but I work with small businesses all across South Louisiana. Everything can be handled by phone, text, or in person if you're nearby. If you're not sure, just reach out and ask.
